Questions
FAQ
Is CoSkipper available for iPhone and Android?
Yes. CoSkipper is a native app for iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android. There is no web version.
What is free and what costs money?
Preparing a voyage is free for the skipper, and joining one is free for the crew. When you're ready to sail, a single Voyage Pass, bought by the skipper, unlocks the days underway for everyone aboard: daily briefing, weather, radio scripts, logbook, kitty and daily trip recaps. Sail regularly? The Skipper Pass covers unlimited voyages for a year. Prices are listed in the pricing section above.
Charter boat or my own boat?
Both. CoSkipper works for any sailing voyage, whether you charter or sail your own boat. Charter details such as the company, base, meeting point and check-in list are there when you need them and stay out of the way when you don't.
Is CoSkipper a navigation app?
No. CoSkipper is the shared companion for a voyage: it helps the skipper prepare, keeps the crew informed with a daily briefing, and records the trip in the logbook, kitty and recap. Its map shows the planned route and distances, and its weather view helps you judge the day, but it does not navigate, and it does not replace the official marine forecast or your own seamanship.
Which languages does CoSkipper support?
English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. The app follows your phone's language, and you can change it in your profile.
What happens to my data after the voyage?
Data protection matters to us, so we keep only what is worth keeping. Thirty days after a voyage ends, the working data (checklists, kitty ledger, open invitations, activity plan) is deleted automatically. The record of the trip stays: logbook with photos, route, crew list and sea miles. You can delete your account, and everything with it, in the app at any time.
